Love is a Battlefield

I'm SERIOUSLY obsessed with my new skater skirt from Charlotte Russe.  I'm really feelin' the hot pink.  I wanted the color to pop so I styled it with black pieces!

I don't know what it is about chunky sweaters - they look mad bulky pics. I promise this top's MUCH more flattering in real life, ha.  In fact, not only is it "much more flattering", it's effin' adorable in person!  This cropped polka-dot sweater is a Fall must-have IMO.  It looks great with everything, and it'll help you transition high-waisted shorts and skirts from Summer into Fall.  How would you guys style this?

Another Day in Paradise

ERMERGERD, polka dot skinnies! LOVE these adorable pants so much.  They're currently on sale at Our World Boutique for $25 (originally $39.99), and they're available in three other colors:  black, white, and coral.  I highly suggest copping them while you can because they're super comfy and totes cute.
I could've totally dressed these babies down, but I decided to go for a polished look today on SS - think business casual for the young professional. I styled them with a crisp button-front from Velvet heart and threw on a prep school blazer for a more sophisticated vibe.  My skinnies are "casual", but the button-front/blazer combo elevate the look tenfold.
A closer look at my skinnies!  How would you guys style these pants?

I'm very excited to share a fun work-friendly look with you guys.  I centered today's outfit around my new printed blouse from Blackfive.  I wanted to jack up the fun-factor so I styled it with my polka-dot pencil from Forever 21.  I then threw on a classy faux-leather jacket for warmth.  I bought this piece WAY back in the day at the Ann Taylor Factory Outlet for about $20 - hashtag bargain buy FTW!

Against All Odds

I REALLY hope you guys aren't sick of seeing my zebra blazer because I'm gonna wear the crap out of it this Fall, ha!  I can't help it - prints are my weakness.  Plus, it just fits SO well.  I didn't even have to get it tailored.  Ha.  I say that as if I get my clothing tailored.  I should...but I definitely don't.
ANYWHO, I centered my look du jour around my sexy Deb skirt.   I paired it with a cropped lace bralette from Blackfive and threw on a blazer for warmth.  I didn't wanna bare TOO much skin! I gotta leave something to the imagination *grins* anddddd it was cold outside, ha.  ANYWHO I could've accessorized with a shorter necklace (and I normally would've) but I liked this better so that's that.  Also, it matched my bag's hardware so it's a win-win situation.
A closer look at my statement sunnies courtesy of Wholesale Celeb Shades...

The Drape Coat

Very excited to feature another fab sweater-dress on SS - I recently showcased a fun chunky version HERE.  This gorgeous number is a serious must-have IMO.  It's super flattering, and the colors are perfect for Fall!
I paired the dress with a stunning drape coat from Chicwish.  Everything about this coat is SO right - drape-y waterfall lapels + faux leather trim + zipper cuffs = serious style with ease.  If you're looking for a trendy Fall coat, you need to check this baby out!  It looks amazing dressed up AND down.
Here's a closer look at my dress!  Isn't the print mad cute?  How do you guys feel about sweater-dresses?  Are they a do or a don't?

Summer to Fall

Super stoked to show y'all how well my Others Follow summer dress transitions into Fall.  Yeah, the weather's getting cooler, but that doesn't mean you have to retire all your warm-weather garb.  At least not yet!
Because it's still pretty warm out, I styled my dress with a moto jacket.  I got it last year at Aero. Love, love, LOVE their outerwear.  I've mentioned this several times before already, but they've really stepped up their game. They carry A LOT of cool clothing now!
TIP:  replace wedges with tall boots and thrown on tights/knee-high socks for more warmth.

I love how much freakin' character the cardi adds - animal print has so much personality.  Oh, and FYI, the tee's a Sincerely, Jules design.  Lookmazing sent it to me for a balla styling contest way back in the day.

Origami Aeroplanes

For today's OOTD, I featured a simple sweater-dress from Pink Basis.  I'm not usually a big fan of chunky knits - they make me feel fat - but this piece is mad chic AND comfortable.  I especially like the color - it's very Fall, ha! Anywho, if you're in a rush just follow this outfit formula:  sweaterdress + leggings + boots.  I promise you, you'll look crazy polished no matter what!
I accessorized with a fun fringe bag from Charlotte Russe and a gorgeous pair of statement earrings from Lorraine Tyne.

Anywho, I styled the top with a comfy mini from Spicy Avenue.  It's another one those yoga pant-like pieces! I really wish this dress was still in stock.  I could totally see girls wearin' this baby out to homecoming or the like!  I mean a stunning dress like this would've been a DREAM (at least IMO, ha).  The pricetag's just the icing on top ($37 WHAT THE EFF, I KNOW).
Even though the dress is mad dramatic, I threw on a pair of crazy bold statement earrings and carried a sparkly silver clutch.  Yeah, yeah.  I can be a diva sometimes, ha!  WHATEVS - I say go big or go home!

Totes excited to feature another "lazy" look on Sensible Stylista today, ha.  My secret's out!  Now you guys know how much I love to bum around.  Whatevs.  I still look foine *winks*  BTW, does anyone else remember when "foine" was acceptable slang? HA!  Maybe I'm just old.  I can hear Regina George's voice in my head now, "stop trying to make FOINE happen".  ANYWHO, back to fashion.  For today's post, I centered my ensemble around my new oversized pullover from Pink Basis.  Love, love, LOVE this piece to pieces...ha...ha... get it? I recommend coppin' this top STAT!  Perfect for days you just wanna chillax.
I styled my top with BAMF Rock & Republic skinnies.  I got them at Kohl's wayyyy back in the day - definitely one of my best bargain buys.  I found them on a clearance rack for an obscenely low price - I think $7 or so? Anywho, my point = scour their sale racks!  You'll find gems fosho.

Impossible is Nothing

Sooo I went to the factory outlets with my mom a while back and picked up this adorable polka-dot blazer from Banana Republic.  I managed to get it on sale for $40 - hell to the yes!  Loveeee this blazer. I mean, it's a total dream for someone who loves mixing prints! *points to self* Anywho, I styled it with a fun printed top from Charlotte Russe.  You guys know how much I love shopping there.  Mad style for a fraction of the price? I think YES!
Anywho, since my outfit's "busy" on top, I kept it simple by wearing a plain white mini-skirt.  Oh, that's right.  I forgot that one shouldn't wear white after labor day... PSH.  Rules are for suckers.  Imma wear white all day er day if I want *grins*
To polish off my look, I threw on this fab floral number and carried my reversible gold tote.
Here's a close-up shot of my necklace courtesy of Shamelessly Sparkly.  Love, love, LOVE their online collection so much!  Make sure to check them out for affordable jewelry - their pieces seriously look designer. Where do you guys like to shop for accessories?

Best Mistake

Alright, so a while back I styled this fab sunflower crop top with a pair of high-waisted shorts HERE.  I know summer's long gone, but I decided to re-style it for funsies!  Plus, it's not cold EVERYWHERE in the world, ha. Yeah, that's how I'll justify this look! *grins*
Anywho, I styled this top with a fun ruffled denim skirt - definitely the most unique jean skirt I've come across. Love, love, LOVE the asymmetrical hem.  Unfortunately, it's no longer available on the OASAP website, BUT I've provided a bunch of other cute options for you guys below so make sure you scroll down.
