Find of the Day: 5/48's Fur Trimmed Knit Vest

I'm super excited to tell you guys all about my latest find!  I recently purchased this gorg faux-fur vest online at Saks Off 5th for $39.99 - it was originally $110 so I got it for a really good price.  This knit is a serious must-have because it's a wonderful transitional piece.  I've been pairing it with maxi dresses as of late for cute spring-y ensembles.  It obviously depends on where you're based, but in MD (and PGH) it's still kind of chilly so the trim works.  Regardless, you should pick this up while you can because you'll get a ton of wear out of it during the Fall.  The item's a classic so you don't have to worry about it going out of style.  For those of you interested in purchasing this knit, click here.  Lucky for you guys, it's still available in all sizes.

Find of the Day: The Velvet Mini ($25)

I am super DUPER excited to tell you guys about my latest purchase! This fabulous minidress from ASOS is everything and more.  It fits me like a glove and flatters my body in the best way possible. Although it's only $25, the velvet doesn't look cheap at all - it could easily pass as "designer" IMO.  I actually bought it in purple first but returned it the second I found it in blush - I liked the color better AND it was cheaper...only by a few dollars, but still! Ha.
If you're looking for a sexy dress that slays, I highly recommend purchasing this!  It's comfortable yet figure flattering which is (obviously) ideal.  It cinches the small of your waist, exaggerating your curves and elongating your stems, while the draped bottom gives you extra breathing room.  This piece is perfect for a fancy date, a night out with friends or even holiday parties.
I accessorized this number with a dainty gold choker and carried a mini-evening bag to match!  Both pieces are from Charming Charlie, andddddd speaking of CC, I actually blogged about them on here a while back - the article was called, "Where to Buy Kate Spade Lookalike Bags for Less," in case you missed it.
Now, I know today's find is all about my new dress, but I gotta mention my shoes as well because I purchased them along with my mini.  If you're a fan of metallics like me, you're def. gonna want to purchase a pair since they're still available online for $15 (!!!!) They were originally $61 so scoop 'em up while you still can.

Top 5 Fall/Winter Coats

Sooo, I thought it'd be mad useful to do a post on my current fave Fall/Winter coats.  Since I'm sensible and whatnot, each item is under $76.  I wish I could say "under $75" because that'd sound WAY better but whatevs. Anywho, as you can (obviously) see, I own each piece so I feel strongly about the quality.  Oh, and FYI: I will NOT be making commission off this post so I have NO ulterior motive whatsoever *smiles*  I just want to make sure y'all look fab while staying warm!  As always, you can comment below with any questions you may have.
The Drape Coat
 1.  Chicwish Waterfall Drape Coat ($67.92) - So much winning going on with this coat.  I LOVE the faux-leather trim and zipper cuffs.  This piece is seriously chic, and I know you'll be THANKING me for this rec for years to come.  Who knew an item could be trendy AND timeless?  A bit of an oxymoron but whatevs.  I own this baby in size small.
Enamour
2.  OASAP Plaid Coat ($53) - A lovely wool coat for winter especially if you're a fan of plaid!  It has a bit of an oversized feel so if you're into the whole menswear trend, this baby will seriously tickle your fancy.  FYI - this piece is available in two other colors: red and green.  Check measurements before purchasing because it's only sold in "one size"; as in "one size" fits all but it probably doesn't in reality, ha.
All Sorts of Fancy
3.  Miss Match Persuade Me Jacket ($72) - An absolutely stunning jacket for Fall or Winter in Cali, haha.  It has super soft faux fur lining, zipper pockets, and an asymmetrical front.  I told you I was obsessed with the whole draping effect *smiles*  Anywho, lucky for you guys, Miss Match has offered SS readers an extra 20% off with code KIM20 at checkout.
The Houndstooth Coat
4.  OASAP Houndstooth Coat ($67) - If you're a fan of prints, this baby's a serious must-have.  I'm BEYOND impressed with the quality of this coat.  Sizing runs small so make sure you study their measurements - I have it in medium (I usually wear XS/S), and it fits like a glove!
The Bow Dress
 5.  Chicwish Drape Jacket in Ash ($76.42) - This jacket's the most expensive item I've featured in this post.  I know it's pretty pricy, but the quality's legit.  I could seriously see this hanging in a designer boutique with a $500 price tag.  Here are the deets:  it's faux suede with a draped shearling collar/lining and asymmetric hem.  I own it in size small!

That's all folks!  I hope y'all found this post useful!  Oh, and make sure you guys check out my THREE international giveaways HERE.  You could win a $75 gift card to Zuri Zuri by Flora, a $295 Microderm360 kit, or a $118 statement necklace from Chloe + Isabel (!!!)

Stepping out in PJs...Kind Of

If you follow me on pinterest, you already know that I have an unnatural obsession with bows.  So, when I stumbled upon this dress on ASOS, it was pretty much a done deal right from the getgo.  A PJ dress with bow sleeves? Um, can we say retail kryptonite?
Although this piece is made of 100% viscose, it looks and feels like silk.  You'll seriously feel like you're wearing PJs out because this dress is SO ridiculously comfy.  It has a v-neckline with piped edging, and the fit's super relaxed so you don't have to worry about sucking anything in post-meals, ha.  Currently on sale at ASOS for $42 (originally $58), I purchased this piece in size 2, and it fits me perfectly.
TIP:  If you don't have anyone there to help you with your sleeves, tie them before you throw this baby on!  Oh, and I forgot to tell you about my new accessories.  I recently bought this YSL bag online at Neiman as an early birthday gift to myself, ha.  They were having this kickass promo so I thought I'd take advantage.  By purchasing this bag, I earned a $600 gift card (!!!!!) Plus, I already had store credit so I felt OK about splurging!
Here's a close-up shot of my bag!  Isn't it a beauty? I still can't get over how gorg it is.  I can already tell that I'm going to get hella wear out of it since it goes with pretty much everything and works for any and every occasion.  I think YSL and Chanel are my two favorite bag brands!  What about you guys? Do you have any fave bag designers?

Find of the Day: The Fringe Tee

I'm super excited to tell you guys all about my latest find: a cute fringe tee from Old Navy!  I picked this baby up last week for $15 (originally $24.94) online.  Lucky for you guys, it's still available - click here to purchase.  The shirt's made of polyester and linen, and it has three bands of crocheted fringe on the front.  If you're a fan of loose t-shirts, this top's an absolute must-have.  It's comfortable and effortlessly stylish.  The fit's boxy though so keep that in mind.  I recommend pairing it with skinny jeans to get optimum balance.  You have a lot of volume on top, so you want to go with something form-fitting below.

Find of the Day: The Lace Mini ($46)

Alright everyone, I'm super excited to tell you guys all about my latest find.  This dress is definitely too pricy to be considered a bargain buy, but it was just too cute to pass up!  I found it online at ASOS last week and instantly fell in love with the design.  I've been obsessed with plunge necklines as of late, so naturally I was drawn to this piece.
Made of a cotton and polyamide blend, this mini is ridiculously comfortable - it has a stretch waist so you have a lot of give aka no sucking in.  However, I do want to point out that the item is on the shorter side.  I honestly didn't mind the length though.  If you find it to be too scandalous, simply throw on black tights and heels.  You'll look chic, while creating the illusion of longer legs.  I paired the dress with OTK boots and wore a bralette underneath to keep things modest-ish, at least for the occasion.  For those of you interested in purchasing this piece, it's available for $46 here.  I bought it in size US 4, and it fits me well!  If you're nervous about sizing, simply order two.  Asos has a great return policy so you don't have to worry about shipping costs and whatnot.
Also, a HUGE thanks to Joseph D Tran Photography for the pic! I shot a bunch of looks with him in Alexandria on Sunday, and I'm beyond excited to see more.  I hope you guys enjoyed the sneak peek!

Find of the Day: The Must-Have Mesh Top ($40.50)

Alright guys, if today's find looks familiar, it's because I wore it to Kusama a while back - click here if you missed the post and want to see pics of a kickass art exhibition.  I know it's pricier than my normal find, but it's seriously worth every penny.  For $40 (originally $58), you're getting a bamf top that you'll get crazy wear out of.  It's made of partially-lined mesh so I recommend wearing it with a bralette like I did below.
Another cool feature includes split-sides!  In addition to wearing this with pants, you can pair it with a dress and cuff the sleeves for a cool summery look.  If it's cold where you're at, simply throw on a sweater on top for a badass layering effect.  Made of 100% polyester, this piece fits true to size!  I got a US size 4, and it fits me perfectly.  Available for purchase here online at Asos!
Now onto my bag!  I don't know if you guys remember, but I shared my NY recap with y'all here a few weeks ago - click here for part 1 and here for part 2.  I mentioned that I stopped by Violet Ray's showroom and picked up a few goodies to feature soooo here's bag no. 2!  I styled bag no. 1 here not too long ago.

I'm obsessed with mini-everything right now - the last VR piece I showcased was an adorable backpack as well.  I really can't recommend them enough - their pieces ooze quality, and just LOOK at how adorable the detailing is.  I mean, there's a freakin' hashtag keychain - how cute is that? Available in stores at Ross for those of you interested.

Look for Less: Steve Madden Fringe Booties

I'm totally excited to share today's post with you guys because I haven't done a "Look for Less" in AGES.  For those of you who have been following along, you all know that I'm utterly obsessed with my Shoetopia fringe boots - I styled them HERE not too long ago.  How is this relevant, you ask?  Well, I went window-shopping recently, and I saw these Steve Madden booties at the mall.  I couldn't help but notice how similar they were so here we are!
The SM booties (pictured above) are currently selling for $99.99, while my shoes only cost $36.99 + free US shipping.  Since I've worn both pairs, I can give you guys an accurate breakdown.  The differences between the two are small, but let's discuss them anyhow.  Let's start with color! They're both taupe, but as you can see, the SM version is darker.  Obviously that boils down to personal preference, but in my humble opinion, the lighter color's easier to style.  Moving onto heel height, SM's version is 3" high, while Shoetopia's is 3.25" high.  I go with the latter again - since they're equally comfy, I prefer to have the extra quarter inch.  Note: both have side zips.
The main difference lies in the fringe detailing - which you can see clearly in the shot above and below - and material.  The SM version is made of part-suede (the top segment), while Shoetopia's is faux-suede.  Some may actually prefer the latter since it's animal/vegan friendly, and as a plus, there's fur inside for max comfort and warmth.  All in all, I'd go with the "steal."  The design's equally cute and comfy so I can't really justify spending the extra $63.  That's up to you guys though!  Clicky HERE if you'd like the purchase the "splurge" and HERE to cop the "steal."

Find of the Day: The V-neck Pocket Tee ($7)

It's time for another fab find on SS!  I'm super excited to tell y'all about today's FOTD because it's a wardrobe staple.  Solid tees as a must-have - simple but chic.  Jeans + tee = timeless combo that oozes steeze.

I got this item at Aeropostale a few weeks ago - FYI, I've collaborated with them before, but this item was purchased with my own money.  Trust me when I say this tee's ridiculously cute & comfy - super soft and lightweight.  Think James Perse minus the expensive price tag.  Currently available for $7 (originally $19.50) HERE in 7 colors.  I copped one in black, but I'm probably gonna order one in white, too.  For your reference, I went with a size medium - I prefer loose fits.  I usually wear xs/s, so I recommend sizing up!

Find of the Day: The Perfect Everyday T-Shirt Dress

It's time for another find, everyone!  For those of you looking for comfy dresses to wear on the daily, this number's an absolute must-have.  Personally, I don't believe in pants even though I wear them from time to time. I've always been a huge dress + skirt girl because they're cute and ridiculously comfortable.  This t-shirt dress oozes steeze!  Made of soft-touch jersey, it has dropped shoulders and a corset that'll conveniently highlight the small of your waist aka create the illusion of an hourglass figure without the gym, ha.  Wear it with wedges or simple sneakers for an effortlessly stylish ensemble.  Available for purchase HERE!
A closer look at my dress!  Isn't the lace up detailing adorable?
I know I've featured these shoes a billion times on here already, but I don't care.  They're uber fashionable and go with pretty much everything I own.  I also really love that they're velcro, ha.  I don't know about you guys, but I HATE lacing heels up.  I'll obviously do it if I have to, but I'll complain while doing so.  Purchase these babies HERE online at Guilty Soles!
Anddd the mini-backpack that won't quit!  Violet Ray can do no wrong.  Their designs are always on point, and I can't wait to see what they release next.  Unfortunately, I don't have a shoppable link for you guys, but I believe this bag's available at Ross.  Hopefully you'll have one close to you?  If not, here's another VR design that I can't get enough of - I featured it here a while back in case you're interested.

I can't even begin to tell you guys how cute these sandals are.  I bought them for $22.99 online at Zara a week ago and freaked the eff out when I got them in the mail.  I've been looking for cute mid heel shoes, and these are PERFECTION for realz!  They're SO comfortable, and the laminated finish is to-die-for cute.  Also, if it makes a difference, metallics are "in" this summer so you'd be right on trend.  OH, and for the record, this is NOT sponsored, and I'm making zero commission - simply blogging about these babies out of the goodness of my heart because I'm all sorts of awesomesauce.
FYI: the heel size is 1.9", and I recommend going a half size down!  I usually wear 6.5, but 6 fits me perfectly.  Zara offers free shipping and returns, so buy two sizes if you're unsure.  You need to get $50+ worth of stuffs anyway in order to qualify for free shipping so knock yourself.  Let me know if you have any questions about these kicks.  Man, I wish they had more colors available in this style - I'd totally stock up.  Anywho, happy shopping - you can purchase these HERE.

Find of the Day: The Tyler Plaid Scarf ($20.76)

YAY!  It's time to share another FOTD.  For today's post, I've featured the lovely Tyler Plaid Scarf from Scarves Dot Net.  I can't recommend this piece enough - it's one of the cutest scarves I own. That's saying A LOT because I own a million different ones, ha!  Anywho, this super chic piece is currently on sale for $20.75.  If you decide to purchase this piece, you'll get free shipping (!!!) because you're buying $20+.  For orders under $20, you pay $2.95.  Just givin' you guys a heads up.
So here's the 411, the scarf has a mix of red, blue, brown, and cream with a yarn fringe.  It's made of 100$ viscose but feels like wool.  Measurements are as follow: 76"L x 33"W with a 4.5" fringe. Also, both men AND women can sport this piece and look baller.  Heads up, hand wash cold and line dry!

Find of the Day: The Fringe Burgundy Dress

Hey guys, if you love fringe as much as I do, you'll absolutely adore today's find of the day! I discovered this gem while browsing, you guessed it, ASOS.  It was on sale at the time for like $65 (originally  $386) so I copped it quickly.  Since then, the price has (very unfortunately) increased to $123, but I'm sure it'll go down again soon.  I recommend "saving it for later" to keep an eye on the price!
This fabulous dress is made of 100% polyester, but it looks and feels just like suede.  If you want to make a super fashionable statement at a cool event or special occasion, pick this baby up STAT!  The fringe skirt and lace-up front ooze streetstyle star.  It's definitely pricey, but it's a unique and high-quality piece that's well worth the $$$. I own it in size S, and it fits true to size, but if you're worried about fit, just buy two at once.  ASOS offers free shipping + returns so if something doesn't work out, you can just send it back.

NOTE: this is definitely a fall piece so keep that in mind when purchasing it.  You see that half-smile/half-scowl I'm sportin'?  It's because I snapped this picture in 95 degree weather so I'm sweating like a donkey in heat, ha!  In all seriousness though, let me know if you have any questions regarding this dress.  I'm here for y'all so just shoot me a comment or message.  For those of you interested, you can purchase this dress HERE!  If this dress doesn't tickle your fancy, here are some other fabulous options for your browsing pleasure (varying price points):
