The Asymmetric Rib Dress

Hands down, one of THE coolest dresses I own!  I picked this up a few weeks ago because...well, I don't really have a reason.  I was feeling down so I decided to treat myself to a new dress.  You know how it is!  We all get like that from time to time, being human and all, ha!  Anywho, I absolutely love shopping ASOS' site because they carry a bajillion things, change up their collection all the time, offer free shipping, AND have a killer return policy.

This stylish rib dress is everything!  It screams high fashion (at least to me) for a VERY reasonable price.  $65 for this baby? Uh, I think yes!  I rarely pay full-price for anything, but this item's worth every penny because it's unique, comfortable and high-quality.  Think about it this way.  Most items at Forever 21 cost a good 20-30 bucks. Now, I do enjoy shopping there, but their quality's not always up to par.  I've found ASOS to be much more reliable!  Plus, it's hassle-free because you don't have to sift through a sh*t ton of racks.
For those of you wondering, I'm wearing a US 4, and it's equivalent to a S.  I typically wear xs-s so 2 could've worked, but I personally like the extra breathing room.  I'd say their US 2 is more like a BCBG XXS-XS so keep that in mind when you're purchasing this dress.   The high neck's hella chic, the twin self-tie detailing's seriously fashionable, and the asymmetric high-low hem's the cherry on top!  Since the dress makes a bold statement on its own, I went easy on accessories to keep things simple!  I threw on fab fringe heels and carried a classic quilted crossbody (Chanel-inspired) to match.

The Geometric Mini-Dress

Oh how I love summer frocks!  I adore them SO much that I have an entire pinterest board dedicated to 'em HERE. Now, today's dress is a goodie.  This fabulous piece is part of LIE's summer '16 collection, and it's available here for purchase.  Dress it up with a pair of heels like I did below for date night or pair it with flats for a casual everyday look - also sold in blue for those of you interested.

Moving onto my OOTD!  For my latest, I've styled a from-the-pool-to-a-casual-hang kind of look for you guys.  I've always been a huge fan of sexy one-pieces, but this one is hands down the hottest suit I've ever seen - available at amiclubwear here for only $20.25.  Since the top part of the suit's revealing, I threw on a lacy coverup (from Happy Rebel Box) - for those of you wondering, this handmade kimono was designed by the fabulous Talia Touch. I threw on high waisted shorts to accentuate the small of my waist and finished off my look with chunky platform heels.
Now, let's take a closer look at my arm party.  I chose to stack three ready-to-wear bangles together for today's post, but like I mentioned earlier, everything is totally customizable.  However, if you're feeling overwhelmed, you have the option of purchasing pre-styled jewelry!  If you're interested in copping the pieces I'm sporting above, click here and here to browse more.

Remix: The Fluted Bandage Skirt

Alright everyone, it's time for a remix!  I don't know if you guys remember, but last week, I featured this fabulous fluted skirt - oh how I love alliteration - in a casual OOTD post HERE. Although I'm all about everyday looks on SS, I thought it'd be fun to take things up a notch and get extra dressed up for y'all today.
I styled my skirt with a sexy crop from Karmaloop!  This top is everything - it's hands down one of the coolest tanks I own.  The plunging neckline's hot as hell, and the open back adds even more fire to the flame.  Pair it with high-waisted bottoms to balance errthing out.  Take a 30% off this top with my KarmaLoop coupon or shop my remix here
To top things off, I carried my new embellished clutch from JWholesale and threw on BAMF ankle-strap heels from UKIES to match.  I seriously can't get over how comfy & cute these babies are! Elevate your shoe game tenfold by purchasing a pair STAT.  Thanks to their nanoGel tech, you'll never have to sacrifice style for comfort ever again.  For realsies.

The Drape Dress

For today's OOTD, I'll be featuring two of my latest finds.  On Memorial Day weekend, I hit up the Grove City outlet mall to get my shop on.  Lucky for me, BCBG was having a huge blowout sale - everything including clearance merchandise was an extra 50% off.  Needless to say, I went a little cray.  I got 7 things for $230 (!!!!)  Yeah, my monthly budget's spent for sure, but the splurge was worth it since I got a ton of bang for my buck.
The dress I'm wearing today was originally $300+, but I got it for a flat $40.  I fell in love with it the second I saw it due to the drape front, high-low hem and color.  BCBG will always have a special place in my heart - their quality's of the highest caliber and their designs are always cute.  Since I don't have a product link for you guys, here's a widget with all my current fave BCBG dresses for your browsing pleasure.
Moving on to accessories!  I paired my dress with a thin cocoon cardi and threw on heels to match. In case you were wondering, the pumps were another outlet mall buy.  I picked them up at Nine West for $30 and bought a second pair in blush because they fit me so well.  You know what they say!  "If the shoe fits, buy them in every color," ha!  Yeah, that's pretty much how I'm going to justify all my shoe purchases from here on out.

Moving on, I topped off my look by wearing a fabulous statement necklace.  I'm a huge fan of mixed metals so when I saw this item at JWholesale, I just knew I had to feature it.  Have you guys shopped at JWholesale yet? If not, make sure you do so STAT.  They sell hundreds of amazing designs for less so you'd be saving a ton of money in the long run. As always, let me know if you have any questions!

The Plunging Gown

I'm stoked to share yet another Dennis Christians shoot with y'all.  We crashed the Juilliard School and borrowed their glass window/red staircase for today's post!  I wore a fancy-smancy dress (from Amiclubwear) and accessorized with a statement choker for the occasion.  Obviously, today's blast is going to be super photo-heavy so I'll leave the commentary to a minimum and let y'all enjoy DC's exquisite work.
A closer look at my necklace from JWholesale.  I'm completely and utterly obsessed with the design because a., it's absolutely gorgeous, and b., it complements my plunging neckline beautifully!  I know I've been raving about JWholesale for months now, but I gotta praise them once again for their quality.  Make sure y'all check 'em out HERE.

Sensible Stylista x Aesthetic Distance

I'm super excited for today's post because I'm telling you guys all about my experience with Aesthetic Distance.  Eliza, the founder of AD, is an accomplished photographer and makeup artist based in Baltimore, MD. After graduating from the University of Maryland, she got her masters in fine arts with a concentration in photography and graphic design.  She studied makeup artistry at the Won Lee International School of Aesthetics and then attended the Make Up For Ever Academy.  For our collaboration, Eliza directed and the lovely Courtney McCormick did my hair and make-up.
Courtney and Eliza epitomize professionalism, and on top of it all, they're smart, beautiful and fun! You'll feel totally comfortable working with them, and I guarantee that you'll love your photos if you decide to book them for portraits. I still can't get over how incredibly talented they both are.  Eliza's super articulate so her direction's easy to follow - she helped me execute my poses by instructing and demonstrating.  She also has an impeccable eye so lighting and backdrops are always on point.   Courtney, on the other hand, could prettify a rock! She totally transformed my face - I felt like I was ready to walk the red carpet!
Now, before I leave you guys, I need to talk to y'all about one last thing: Eliza's blog!  Not only is she an accomplished make-up artist and photographer, she's a killer blogger.  She writes about all things fashion and beauty, and she often features local talents and businesses in the DMV.  From interviews to helpful how-tos, you'll be completely hooked.

The Prim & Proper Skater

I am beyond obsessed with my new dress courtesy of Tobi!  This fab piece, available in both wine and navy here, features a deep-v neckline with a lapel collar and cut-out back.  I dressed this item up for you guys today, but I could've easily worn it casually with flats or slip-ons. For my OOTD, I styled my skater with a lacy bralette and body chain for a fun night out.  I threw on a light black duster on top and wore tights for extra warmth.  As you can see, I'm shoeless in the photo below, but I wore sky-high black pumps to elongate my stems. Also, a huge thanks to my photographer Aesthetic Distance and my HMUA Courtney McCormick.

Glam Life

Thanks to Courtney McCormick and Aesthetic Distance, I'm all glammed up today on Sensible Stylista!  I had such a lovely time working with the two of them.  I'll be writing a post on my experience in the near future so make sure to keep an eye out.  In the meantime, if you're looking for an amazing photographer or make-up artist in the DMV, you know who to contact!  Let me know if you need to get in touch with either - not only are they incredibly talented, they're beautiful, kind, and fun to work with.
For today's post I'll be telling you guys all about my new gown and jewelry.  Let's start with the latter! I'm absolutely loving my new earrings courtesy of J Wholesale - in case you're wondering, they've been around since 2012 as a jewelry supplier. They're made of gold burnish, are about 3.25" in length, and are also available in silver! If you're interested in buying them, click here. I really can't recommend J Wholesale enough!  Their baubles are super cute and affordable. Customers are required to purchase a minimum of $50, but keep in mind that you're getting a discounted rate!  Basically, you're getting a whole collection of accessories for the price of one.
Moving on to my new gown courtesy of Amiclubwear!  I am head over heels in love with this dress. The embellished neck detailing is on point, and it's lightly padded so you can go braless.  The ruching's really cute, but if you're worried about your midsection, you may want to go with a different design.  On that note, if you're looking for ways to cover muffin top, check out "9 Ways to Cover Muffin Top with Fashion."

The Drape Tunic

I'm super excited to partner up with The Luk today on Sensible Stylista - I centered my OOTD around their hooded drape tunic. It's easily one of my current favorites due to its versatility - I love that I can wear it both as a dress and a top and that it transitions beautifully from work to play.  I styled the dress for a fun night out with friends, but if you want to wear this baby to the office, pair it with neutral heels and a layered pearl necklace for a chic work-friendly ensemble.  Make sure you guys check out The Luk for fashionable yet affordable work attire.  Thanks to their fab store, young professionals no longer have to invest in two separate wardrobes.

Felina Intimates

I'm all about Felina Intimates today on Sensible Stylista.  I've partnered up with them in honor of Valentine's Day. I don't know if you guys are familiar with their line, but I'm a huge fan of their designs because they're classy yet sexy.  I'll be featuring two chemises and a robe for y'all today. First up is FI's Alice Chemise, a stunning black and pink a-line that flatters like no other.  The lace bodice is just the right amount of girly, and the flared bottom makes the piece ultra-comfy to wear in and out of bed!  Available here for $39 - get an extra 15% off your purchase with code SENSIBLE15.
Next up, the Charming Chemise in black.  Love, love, love the lace lining.  Like the Alice Chemise featured above, this piece also has an a-line silhouette.  If you want something brighter, no worries, this item's also available in lilac, violet cheetah, and white HERE.  I actually thought about getting it in white - to match my angelic personality, of course, ha - but I went with my signature shade as per usual.  I don't know what it is about the color black.  I just find it effortlessly cool and sexy.  I could probably wear it every day...for the rest of my life.  Ok, I might be exaggerating, but you guys get the point.  I. Love. Black.
Before I share other faves with you guys below, I want to tell you a bit about my satin kimono.  This piece is super luxurious.  It has wide 3/4 length sleeves and a long tie belt that creates a faux-hourglass shape.  Available in 10 different colors HERE.
