Isharya Jewelry

Happy Monday, errbody!  I hope y'all had a great weekend.  I'm currently on Spring break so I'm in Pittsburgh for the next week or so *pumps fist* It feels so good to be home!  It's colder than MD, but I can deal.  For today's post, I've re-featured two of my fave pieces: my floral H&M top & my plaid Talbots pencil skirt, for a fun work-friendly ensemble.  I thought it'd be interesting to pair the two together - you guys know how much I love mixing prints - because they share colors.  My top's predominantly yellow, but the floral print = gray & white, conveniently matching my skirt.  I'm all about unexpected color & print pairings so this was a fun shoot for sure!
I'm finally taking photos outside again!  Natural lighting does WONDERS doesn't it?
A close-up of my new +ISHARYA necklace.  What an amazing piece!  Their collection is absolutely amazing.  Founded by sister-in-laws Gauri and Radhika Tandon, Isharya blends modern techniques with heirloom details inspired by Indian's intricate and vibrant style.  They create on trend, gold-plated costume jewelry from dramatic chandelier earrings to jewel-encrusted cuffs.  Clicky here to browse their collection.  FYI:  US residents get free shipping on all orders.  Subscribe to their mailing list to get an extra 10% off.

Polished Pearls

I'm totally excited to  share another classy work-friendly look with you guys today on Sensible Stylista.
Love, love, LOVE my new dress from Talbots!  I bought a BUNCH of work-garb there recently. They were having a huge Spring sale so I scored a ton of new skirts and blouses for ridiculously low prices.  This dress is (unfortunately) sold out, but you can see other chic options here

Classy in Florals

It's time for another office-friendly look.  I should start a new series called "Workwear Wednesday".  Hm, that actually sounds like a good idea! I think I might do that.  What do you guys think? Would that be helpful for y'all?

Anywho, I've featured two more pieces (skirt + blouse) from my +Talbots haul today on Sensible Stylista.  I told y'all I took advantage of their Spring blowout.  I wasn't exaggerating, ha!  My top's sold out *sad face*, but you can buy my skirt here for $54.99 (originally $119) - FYI, it's also available in four other colors.  The piece is beyond classy.  The material's a beautiful silk/cotton blend - totally worth every penny.  TIP:  use ebates to get cash back from your online purchases.  It seriously adds up!  Clicky HERE to sign-up.
A full body shot for you guys.  As you can see, I'm obsessed with my new Givenchy Antigona.  I love that it matches my new blouse perfectly.  I kept everything else simple because I wanted the print & colors to pop! I'm really digging today's classy get-up - definitely one of my fave work-friendly ensembles.  I'm constantly "torn" between professional Kim and trendy Kim, haha.  Some days I feature looks I wear to work, and other times I share looks I wear out to events, GNO's, hangs,  dates, etc.  That's why there are two "different styles" on my blog.  I hope you guys don't mind the variety!
A closer look at my blouse!  Love, love, LOVE the floral print.  I wish this piece was still available for you guys!  Such a bummer.  I'll do the next best thing and share some other fab floral tops with you guys below!  Scroll down to see my picks...
Bag:  Givenchy via TJ Maxx Runway
Skirts:  Talbots ($54.99)

PS.  Here are my floral blouse picks as promised above (varying price points).

I See Fire

I told you guys I was obsessed with Talbots!  I've styled yet another work-friendly ensemble featuring the brand.  Man, I love that store - they have the cutest skirts & printed blouses!  Their pieces are usually too expensive for me, but that's what big sales are for.
Anywho, I styled my ocelot button-front with a lace pencil skirt.  As you all know, I like experimenting with different prints and textures.  I accessorized with my favorite collar necklace - available at Hanuel HERE - and wore heels to match.  To top the look  off, I threw on retro cat shades inspired by House of Harlow.
Here's a shot of my blouse sans jacket!  It's such a versatile piece - it transitions beautifully from day to night and work to play.  I'll make sure to re-style it in a casual OOTD for you guys soon so you can see!

The Bow Belt

I'm very excited to share another work-friendly look with you guys.  Today's look is simple yet chic & polished.  I centered my OOTD around my new skirt courtesy of +Darling Clothes.  This beautiful floral piece is perfect for the office!  I styled it with an ivory blouse from Ann Taylor (I got it on clearance a while back) and belted it to accentuate the small of my waist.
Here's a full body shot for you guys.  I was planning to pair my skirt with a turquoise top, but decided against it because I wanted to wear my Valentino-inspired heels - definitely would've been a gaudy move to wear both, at least in my opinion.  TIP:  When working with a vibrant print, choose a color within the pattern and pair it with a neutral hue for a foolproof ensemble.
Let's take a closer look at my adorable bow belt courtesy of Billie + Betty - clicky HERE to purchase. Skinny belts are a wardrobe must-have.  I recommend purchasing a bunch in different colors.  If you're willing to invest, Linea Pelle has an amazing collection available HERE  If you're searching for more affordable options, browse your local TJ Maxx, Kohl's, or Target.

I own a MILLION different colors, but I use my black, brown, and white ones the most (obviously). I belt cardigans, dresses, and skirts to highlight my waist.  Plus, it's a really easy way to create a cohesive look.  Match your accessories with your belt, and you're good to go, ha.  Easy peasy!  How do you guys wear skinny belts?  Are any of you into thicker versions?

The Cozy A-Line

LOVE my new +Talbots blouse to pieces - the hot pink hue is so on point.  I got it on sale HERE for $26 - hashtag bargain shopping FTW, haha.  I LOVE blowout sales.  A SILK blouse for that price? Unheard of.  I wish they had other colors available in my size.  I would've bought one of each without thinking twice.  Talbots is definitely one of my favorite stores now!  Where do you guys shop for work-friendly attire?  I frequent +H&M for fab blazers and skirts, +Forever 21 for colorful blouses, +Madewell for dress pants, and designer discount stores like Off Saks & Nordstrom's Rack for blazers and heels.
Back to today's OOTD!  The color of my blouse is bold (as you can obviously see, ha), so I kept everything neutral - it's all about balance. I paired it with a cozy plaid skirt and threw on a gray blazer to match.  I accessorized with my favorite collar necklace courtesy of Hanuel (available HERE for $24 + free shipping).
A closer look at my blazer courtesy of Skinny Bitch Apparel.  This chic number is reversible (blue & white stripes on the other side) and is made of a lovely fabric that's both thick and soft.  It's fully lined and transitions beautifully from cold to warm weather.  It also looks amazing dressed up and down! I'll be re-styling this piece in a casual OOTD for you guys in the near future so keep an eye out.
A shot of my blouse sans blazer.  I absolutely love wearing silk!  I definitely need more tops like these in my wardrobe.

The Cozy Sweater

Oh man, I've had enough of this weather.  I cannot WAIT for Spring.  As much as I love layering and all that jazz, I'm sick of the freezing cold!  Who's with me?  Ok, ok.  I'm getting off topic.  Back to fashion!  For today's post, I've styled a casual but polished look for you guys - featuring Oasap & Ella Boutique.  I can't wait to tell y'all about my new swag!
I freakin' love +OASAP.  Their outerwear is on point! I wish I could give you guys a link, but this fab coat is completely sold out (BOO!!!).  No worries though - it's gonna be spring soon anyways... me thinks, haha. They constantly get new stuffs so keep an eye out.  Clicky HERE to browse...

Fleur Lace

Channeling my inner Blair Waldorf with today's post.  To be honest, anytime I wear a beautiful dress I feel like an asian Queen B, ha!  Anywho, the cutaway lace top & ribbon belt are such lovely details.  You'll feel super girly yet sophisticated!  FYI: the piece fits true to size.  I ordered a small and regretted it.  I should've gone with my usual XS *sniffle*  Oh wells!  I'll just have to get it tailored.  Clicky HERE to pick one up for yourself.  It's currently on sale for $62.79 and is also available in navy.  I'd go with the chartreuse though.  The color's even prettier in person.
A closer look at details.  I wore my fave pearl necklace (c/o +Lemon Drop Boutique) to complement my dress - a good call for sure *pats self on back* HAHA! TIP:  pearls class any ensemble up.  Throw them on and feel instantly polished.  This chunky statement piece is a must-have IMO - perfect for work AND play.

Forever Today

Feelin' all sorts of grown up on today's post.  Love, love, LOVE my new +Ann Taylor blouse!  I got it on sale for $25 last week *pumps fist* Yay for digging through clearance racks.  I also picked up a pair of lacy black slacks for $30.  I was super excited because I have THE toughest time finding flattering "work" pants.  ANYWHO, I thought I'd feature a work-friendly look today on Sensible Stylista.
I styled the blouse with gray Vince skinnies (bargain buy way back in the day at +T.J.Maxx) and a Theory blazer (scored years ago in Orlando at Off Saks during a blowout sale).  I tied the whole look together with a +Coach scarf (gifted).   I know I'm wearing a lot of designer stuff today, but trust me when I say I copped them all when they were MAD discounted.  Stores like TJ Maxx Runway, Off Saks, Nordstrom's Rack, etc., carry designer brands for MUCH less.  Also keep in mind that certain pieces (like blazers and bags) are totally worth the investment.  Think of cost per wear *grins*
Let's take a closer look at my ECCO shoes.  I almost always wear heels, but these were just too cute to pass up.  Such high quality!
Oh, and Daisy wanted to take a pic with me, haha.  Yay for cute animal shots~

Blazer:  Theory via Off Saks

Lacy Dress Pants FTW

I'm excited to share a work-friendly look with you guys today on SS!  I'm totes in love with +Ann Taylor - a recent obsession, ha!  Anywho, I got these fab pants on sale for $30, and they're SUPER cute.  Quite a big deal for me because I'm really picky about slacks.  You can't really see because of the crummy lighting (sorry) but the pants are lacy!  I promise to start shooting outside again when it gets a little warmer.  It's ridiculously cold outside, and I don't want to get sick again - I had the flu, and I actually have a cold right now, ugh.  I hope you guys don't mind the white-wall!
Anywho, let's take a closer look at my new necklace courtesy of Lemon Drop Boutique.  Love, love, LOVE this piece! Definitely the cutest pearl necklace I own.  Perfect for work AND play - hashtag versatility FTW.  Make sure you guys enter my giveaway with them HERE to score one for yourself!

Obsession

I freakin' love Burberry.  Their outerwear is seriously legit!  They make the BEST trenches IMO.  I highly recommend saving money and copping one for yourself.  Crazy pricy but worth it.  Don't be afraid to splurge on wardrobe must-haves.  The trench coat is a classic piece you'll wear forever.  Make sure you guys wait for a big blowout sale though.  I only really hit up Burberry (the outlet, of course) after Christmas, haha.  Wayyyyy too expensive otherwise.
A closer look at accessories.  I featured this fab scarf yesterday on SS as a "find of the day".  If you missed the post, clicky here.  Available here for $20.76 - the piece looks FAR more expensive than it actually is.

The Plaid Scarf

Excited to share a warm winter ensemble with y'all today on SS.  I finally styled the Bar III moto jacket I'm giving away HERE.  I told you guys it was BAMF.  The color's ridiculously chic, and the quality's unreal.  I can't believe it's faux-leather!  It's seriously legit.  Anywho,  I thought the rich oxblood hue would look great with gray so I threw on my Theory skinnies (from TJ Maxx, of course) and wore heels to match.  My scarf (from Scarves Dot Net)  ties the whole look together.  It's available HERE for ($11.96).  Make sure to browse their collection STAT - they have so many cute and affordable choices!

I'm a Rebel

Polka dots FTW!  LOVE this fab scarf so much.  I got it at a Talbots Factory Outlet way back in the day.  I'm not sure if you guys shop there, but they carry some seriously cute stuff sometimes!  I especially like their skirts, jewelry, and scarves (duh).
I started with basics:  white sweater (thanks to Design History) + gray skinnies (bought years ago on sale at TJ Maxx for $40).  The printed scarf, snakeskin ankle boots, and striped bow bag add mad personality IMO.  BTW, if you have a TJ Maxx Runway near you, you need to hit that up STAT! They have the most ridiculous selection - tons of huge designers for discounted prices!
A closer look at my new wedge booties from Rebels.  These shoes are so freakin' sexy! LOVE the snakeskin.
