Edgy Cocktail Attire

Bracelets + Earrings: ASOS
Necklace: Cara
Ring: Forever 21
Shoes: Steve Madden via DSW

Every girl should have at least one LBD in her closet.  I have a couple different options in my wardrobe, but this Express version is my favorite by far. I bought it several years ago, and it's still in great condition - even after countless machine-washes.  I genuinely believe this dress could pass for a Herve Leger design (he's known for his bandage dresses).  

Would you spend a fortune on a designer piece when you could get a high-quality knock-off for a fraction of the price?  How do you decide if a piece is "splurge-worthy?"

    Hm, I don't have much experience buying designers clothes but generally I tend to go for stuff you cannot just buy anywhere.

    For example I have one designer's business suit (wool and silk)...everyone is always asking me about it, had I had it custom made and stuff...people can see it is something that you cannot just buy somewhere...so that is what designer clothes should be like I think.

    Anyway, you look great...and what I like in particular are all the accessories. It gives a punk rock feel to the outfit!

    That's a very good question! If the piece looks identical to the designer piece and it's a trend piece, then I would go for the copy. However, on classic bags and heels (like pumps), I think sometimes the splurge is worth it!

    Great LBD with really fun shoes. My motto is to invest in the quality pieces that are timeless. If it's made from great material and you can wear it with many things and have it in your wardrobe for years to come, then splurge on it!
