Sensible Stylista

Remixing Old Favorites

Channeling my inner girly girl for my latest.  I don't know if y'all remember, but I've literally featured each and every one of the pieces I'm wearing today previously on SS.  You guys already know this, but I live to remix clothing.  I mean, I am the sensible stylista after all!  So,  for today's post, I styled my trendy Karmaloop crop with printed high-waisted shorts.  I picked them up at Francesca's last year while they were on sale - I think they were $10 or so?  Yeah, their clearance racks are lit! Always take time to sift through because everything they carry is cute!  Oh, and btw, if you love this OOTD, you can shop it HERE!
I threw on ivory gladiators and carried a matching crossbody bag to keep things polished.  I wanted to incorporate a pop of color to finish off the look so I used my current fave Bobbi Brown lippy - for those of you interested, it's Pale Coral.  Click here to get an extra 15% off your purchase with my exclusive BB coupon.  You're welcome in advance!

Texture: The Best Way to Read Magazines (and Save Money)!

I don't know about you guys, but I personally love reading magazines.  I spend a buttload of $$$ on 'em every year, and honestly, I often wonder if they're worth the money because I go through them so quickly, which brings me to...*drum roll, please*...Texture, ta da!  Instead of wasting hundreds of dollars a year on various subscriptions, I now pay a flat monthly fee of $14.99 to read anything and everything my heart desires - there's also a less expensive plan available for $9.99.
Think of Texture as the Netflix for magazines.  You get unlimited access to 160+ of 'em, and there are over 15,000 back issues (!!!!!)  Yeah, so you're getting a ton of bang for your buck.  Now, as a fashion blogger, I subscribe to several to stay on top of all the hottest trends.  A single subscription costs me about $50-$60 a year, which seriously adds up over time.

Texture just so conveniently happens to carry 24 different fashion mags, including my faves. Recently, they've added Women's Wear Daily to the mix aka the fashion bible.  I read every issues of WWD from cover to cover to stay in the know. They deliver breaking news in both men and women's fashion, and keep me up-to-date with all the changing trends.

In addition to WWD, I enjoy reading InStyle, Vogue, Cosmo, W, Glamour, and People's StyleWatch...and those are just a few.  You can browse by your preferred category (like the Fashion & Style tab pictured below), discover relevant/trending stories in the "highlights" section or filter through articles directly (there's a search engine at the very top - simply click on the magnifying glass in the top right corner).  Don't forget to download your favorite magazines to access them sans wifi! Yeah, Texture's a total game-changer - download it and try it out for free HERE!  You're welcome in advance.

The Ruffle Mini-Dress

The weather's been straight up cray in Pittsburgh as of late.  It's so freakin' hot here - I seriously feel like my face is melting off.  To battle the heat, I wore a cute mini-dress. This adorable ruffled number is available online HERE for purchase at ASOS.  It's perfect for summer because it's super lightweight.
The dress itself is hella fashionable.  The tie front detailing's on point, and the layered skirt's effortlessly stylish.  The piece cinches my waist, creating the illusion of an hourglass figure.  I'm wearing a size S, but in retrospect, an XS might've worked better for me.  I tend to size up a lot of the time because I prefer looser fits!  What can I say? I value comfort over all.
NOTE: This skirt has quite a bit of volume so keep that in mind when purchasing it. Good news though, ASOS has an amazing (FREE!!!!) return policy so you don't have to worry at all.
