How-to: Style a Moto Jacket

For today's post, I've featured a trendy look showcasing pieces courtesy of Deb, Aeropostale, & Roxx.  I actually had a lot of fun throwing this look together.  Ya'll know how much I love experimenting with new color/print combinations.
I'm totally diggin' the oxblood + animal print pairing.  To unify the color scheme, I threw on a fun statement necklace courtesy of Roxx. It really ties the whole outfit together.
Animal print can be tacky, but this skirt (courtesy of Deb) is SO tasteful.  I highly recommend it, especially if you like skirts. I have to be honest with you guys.  I've been living in skirts because I've put on a bit of weight.  I've been really stressed out with work and school, so I haven't been able to keep up with my workout regimen.  Skater skirts are super forgiving AND comfortable - they flatter your body in the best possible way!  I like wearing high-waisted versions to accentuate the small of my waist.  Clicky HERE to purchase...
This moto jacket - courtesy of Aeropostale - is the newest addition to my wardrobe.  I'm a huge fan of moto jackets, so when I came across this oxblood number I just couldn't pass it up.

The Military Trend

For today's post I've featured a slew of goodies from Charlotte Russe, Trendy Blendy, and Deb.  I'm TOTALLY loving the military trend this season.  This jacket is a definite must-have!
Have you guys checked out Trendy Blendy?  Ya'll need to visit their boutique STAT.  They have such an amazing online selection.  Talk about versatility.  They offer a slew of wardrobe essentials that can be worn and remixed each and every season.  Click HERE to see more...

I bought these shoes last year during a huge blowout sale at DSW.  Aren't they super cute?  Unfortunately, they're also the most uncomfortable booties I own.  I have a really tough time walking in these. I seriously look like an injured donkey when I wear these.  How do you guys feel about Steve Madden? I've actually never had a problem with them before - I guess there's a first for everything!

How-to: Wear a Geometric Cardigan

For today's look du jour, I've styled a super trendy outfit for ya'll.  I centered my ensemble around an edgy geometric cardigan courtesy of OASAP.  The print really complements the faux-leather.  I wouldn't normally sport such a bold look, but I was feeling especially risque!
On another note, I really want to do something different with my hair.  I was thinking about dyeing it a lighter color, but I kind of like my natural shade.  Maybe I'll just get it straightened.  What do you guys think?
These Deb tights are ridiculously awesome.  They're lined with fleece, so they're super warm & comfy.  Did I mention that they're only $5? Anywho,  I seriously recommend these tights, especially if you like wearing skirts in the Fall - they're perfect for cold weather.  Clicky HERE to purchase...

Remix: The Black Maxi Skirt

For today's post, I've showcased a slew of sponsored goodies from Deb & Charlotte Russe. I know I've already featured this skirt (click HERE for the aforementioned post), but I just couldn't resist styling it again.
This maxi skirt is super flattering - the thigh-high slit is just plain sexy!  I have a stunning black maxi dress with a slit like this on its way from a sponsor.  I can't wait to show ya'll. Anywho, this exact model is sold out, but there are other totally adorable options available on Deb.  Click here AND here for similar options.  Did I mention they only cost $11?  Yeah, get on that!
I'm SO in love with my new polka dot cropped top!  It's super comfy and warm, so I don't feel weird wearing it during the Fall.  I think I'm going to try styling it with a pair of high-waisted shorts, leggings, and combat boots.
A closer look at my fierce necklace courtesy of Charlotte Russe.  This stunning piece is also available in a pretty peach hue.  Clicky HERE to purchase...

Wardrobe Must-have: The Investment Blazer

For today's post, I've featured a work-friendly look perfect for Fall.
I bought this blazer at Saks Fifth during a huge blowout sale a couple years ago, and it's one of the best purchases I've ever made.  I didn't even have to get it tailored!  It's definitely one of the most coveted items in my closet.  I highly recommend investing in a quality black blazer.  You'll wear it forever so don't feel guilty splurging on a wardrobe staple like this.
I don't usually like knock-off bags, but I have to admit that I LOVE carrying this Celine Trapeze look-a-like.  You can definitely tell it's fake, but it's still cute, haha!  Don't judge me =P

Vintage Dior Sunnies

For today's post, I've styled a simple yet classy monochromatic look for ya'll!
I almost peed my pants when my mom offered me her vintage Dior sunglasses.  Don't mind if I do, haha!  Where do you guys like shopping for sunnies?

The Pajama Pant Trend

For today's post, I've tackled the pajama pant trend!
I found these pants on a clearance rack at Kohl's for $12.  They were super comfy & fit well so I decided to get them even though I had no idea how I'd style them.  I know, I know. Super hypocritical of me since I always tell ya'll to avoid making impulse purchases like that. I usually make sure I can put together at least 2-3 outfits in my head before buying a new piece.
I have to be honest with you guys.  These pants sat in my closet for a long time because every look I styled just made me look like I was heading to the gym, haha.  I guess the stripes on the side didn't help my cause.
This ensemble was by far the best look I had put together so I wanted to share!  I stuck to a simple black & white color scheme, but made a statement by accessorizing with bold pieces.
What do you guys think of the pajama trend?

Wardrobe Must-have: The Faux Leather Skirt

For today's post, I've styled a flirty look featuring a new top courtesy of Charlotte Russe. I've always been a big advocate of Forever 21, but I've officially switched sides.  They always have adorable stuff.  I mean, have you seen their dresses? Plus, their jewelry is so much better.  They recently sent me a couple necklaces to style, and I swear to you that they could pass for Amrita Singh designs.
On another note, when did the weather get so cold?  It's totally freezing outside.  I promise to start featuring "warmer" looks on here soon!
TIP:  Black leggings/tights + black heels/boots = long legs like woah!

Fall Trend: Patchwork Denim

For today's post, I've styled a casual denim-on-denim look!
Patchwork denim is apparently one of Fall's hottest trends!  What trends are you guys into this season?
I know I've featured this necklace several times already, but I still get can't over how cute it is!  Make sure to check out Bijoux Boutique for trendy yet afforable jewelry and accessories.
A closer look at my new heels.  I love incorporating pops of animal print in my everyday garb.  Be careful though, too much can look tacky.  I always make sure to limit myself to ONE piece per look.

Necklace:  c/o Bijoux Boutique ($32)
Sunnies:  Coach Factory Outlet - old

The Faux Leather Jacket

For today's post, I've featured a strapless dress courtesy of Charlotte Russe.  I think summer dresses transition beautifully into the colder seasons. For a Fall-friendly look, I paired my dress with a faux-leather moto jacket.  Don't be afraid to experiment with different kinds of outerwear. Maybe you have a cute cardigan or blazer you'd rather layer with.
I threw on a pair of sky-high heels, but BAMF combat boots would've also looked bomb.  I love juxtaposing different styles when fashioning a look. Don't be afraid to get really creative.  Style is all about expressing yourself, so take all the risks you want!  TIP: If you want extra warmth, throw on a pair of leggings or tights!
I got this necklace online at J. Crew Factory for $31 a couple months ago. They were having a big sale, so I made sure to stock up on some jewelry.  I'm a huge fan of their accessories, although I'm not crazy about their clothing.  Weird right?  Especially since I'm obsessed with the clothing at Madewell.  Anywho, they actually have a sale going on right now if you're interested!  Click HERE to shop now...
