Playing with Pleats

In honor of the weekend, I've featured a fabulous pleated number for you guys.  This gorgeous dress is effortlessly stylish, and it transitions beautifully from day to night.  I obviously dressed it up with heels and a statement necklace, but it looks equally fabulous with flat gladiators and oversized sunnies.

I've actually featured a couple of items from Zaful already (here & here), but this is my favorite piece by far.  The color's beautiful, and the fabric feels like silk even though it's polyester.  The quality's comparable to mid-level H&M so the $18 price tag is worth it if you like pleated designs. Also, for your reference, I'm wearing a size small.  In this particular case, the item fits true to size, however make sure you guys double check measurements when shopping their store - sizes vary from piece to piece.  You can purchase this dress HERE.  Note:  Zaful conveniently offers free shipping worldwide.
A closer look at my tassel necklace from InPink.  This necklace is a total must-have in my opinion. It's a rope-chain so you can wear it several different ways!  I should've shown you guys *smacks head* I promise to re-feature it and show y'all in the near future.
Anyways, this lariat necklace has delicate chain tassels accented with rhinestone bars dangling at each end, and it comes with matching tassel earrings.  The piece is a bit pricy (at $46), but think about cost per wear!  This is an item you'll wear for years to come because it's classic and versatile.

Chaser Collection

I'm very excited to partner up with Chaser today on Sensible Stylista.  I'm so impressed with the quality of their clothing. Designed in LA, their collection is inspired by past icons.  Taking a nod from vintage, the brand leans toward the direction of European taste-markers tempered with a casual modernity.  For those of you unfamiliar with the brand, think BCBG with casual, boho undertones.

For today's OOTD, I centered my ensemble around my new maxi.  This gorgeous dress oozes style with ease.  I'm especially loving the fab print and thigh-high slits.  This piece felt tribal to me, so I accessorized accordingly.
I threw on over-the-knee gladiators to start.  I always pay extra attention to my shoes when I wear slit dresses.  You want to make sure you take advantage of the sexy cut!  Unfortunately, these heels are no longer available at Amiclubwear.  I'll share similar versions below though so make sure you all scroll down.

A closer look at my necklace courtesy of Designz by Dez.  I absolutely love the design and color - the beads are acrylic with flecks of gold, black and silver.  The length is approximately 20" long, and the piece is gold-plated.  If you're interested, it's available HERE for $47.  Everything on DBD is handmade so you know your jewelry is made with the utmost care and love.

Sensible Stylista x Scoobie

I'm super excited to partner up with SCOOBIE today on SS for a work-friendly-ish post.  The -ish is there because you'd have to button up your top and possibly (probably, ha) swap sandals for pumps to really be office-appropriate.  Anyways, before we talk about my today's OOTD, I want to tell you all a bit about SCOOBIE.  Firstly, Sarah Jabbour (the owner) is a total sweetheart.  She has a true love for fashion, and she's all about helping people look and feel their best.  She's been working in retail since age 14 so she has an impressive amount of experience!  Recently, she left her 8-5 marketing job to focus on growing and developing SCOOBIE full-time.

Sarah's collection is beyond fabulous. She personally travels all around the US to hand-pick pieces to sell.  She doesn't buy off line sheets because she wants to feel the clothes firsthand before buying them to ensure quality.  Her goal is to find the best-of-the-best at the most reasonable price points possible.  If you live in MO or KS, you can check out her store/s in person - their addresses can be found here if you're interested.  However, her online collection is just as beautiful!  She sent me this gorgeous skirt to style, and I can't get over how cute it is.  It's available HERE for $71.
I styled the skirt with a classic button-front and accessorized with nude pieces to keep things simple.  The bright yellow lace is vibrant so I wanted it to take center stage without any competition.  The skirt's quality is comparable to that of Lilly Pulitzer or BCBG.
My top's from Ralph Lauren. They have the best button-fronts in my opinion.  I got this piece on sale for $29.99 at the outlet mall.  It was definitely a good buy because it was originally $80+.  Make sure you guys subscribe to their mailing list because they send coupons ALL the time.
