Trend Report: Tee Shirt Dresses

The typical, tight, body-con dresses that we're used to seeing on women may be becoming a thing of the past! Lately, people from all ends of the fashion spectrum have been rocking this trend! Tee shirt dresses are basically exactly what they sound like, long tee shirts. The designs usually have no form, and they often just look like an oversized shirt!
As you can see, there are tons of different styles available. You can wear a black, button down tee-dress for an edgy look. Or, a blue tee shirt dress with small little eyelets for a simple, casual ensemble. My personal favorite is the urban version pictured above, third from the left.  Jersey dresses are beyond stylish in my opinion.  Last but not least, the fashionista on the far right demonstrates that this trend can ooze sophistication.

This trend reminds me a lot of the "boyfriend" phase that was just really popular -- boyfriend jeans, boyfriend sweatshirts, boyfriend everything! It's very similar because it's all about the oversized fit.  If you wanna rock this trend yourself, check out these fabulous options below:

A Day in the Life

For today's post, I centered my look around my new fringe shoes courtesy of Amiclubwear.  These sexy heels are made of faux-suede, and they're 4.5" high.  You guys know how much I love wearing sky-high heels!  AMICLUBWEAR has an incredible online shoe selection.  I always find something I love while browsing.  I recommend checking out the following brands: Dollhouse, Privileged, Wild Diva Lounge, and Qupid.   The last two are my personal favorites.  WDL usually fits true to size, but I always go a half-size up with Qupid.  You can browse by clicking HERE.  Make sure you tell me what you think by commenting below!

As promised above, here are other cute shoe picks for you all at varying price points:

Are you a fan of fringe? If yes, how do you like to wear the trend? Do you like peeks of it or do you enjoy going all out with it (ex. fringe dresses and the like)?  Also, on another note, make sure you guys check out both of my international giveaways HERE to win swag.  I'm raffling away a $100 Sterling Forever gift card & a $200 Amazon gift card.

Beauty Trends: The Nail Edition

So, now that you guys know all about this summer's eye, eyebrow, and lip trends it's time to talk about nails! Certain colors are associated with different seasons; ex. black and maroon for winter, pink and blue for summer. However, four specific trends are getting a lot of extra attention this summer!

1. Stiletto Nails

Fake nails are nothing new; for people with stubby nails like me, acrylics are a god send.  I usually get the typical square or round shapes, but lately a new style has been popping up: stiletto nails! These super long, witch-looking nails have been super popular in Hip-Hop culture lately, and you can see them all over Kylie Jenner's Instagram page. You can either go get expensive acrylics stiletto nails at the salon, or just buy some press on!

Here are some great examples of the latter:

2. Pastel Polish

Back when we published our eye trends post HERE, we talked about pastel eyeliner at length. Well, that trend also translates to the nails! This trend is everywhere, from famous nail Instagram pages to Vogue! Yes, that's right, even Vogue has talked about this awesome summer trend.

Here are a ton of cute pastel polishes to browse through:

3. Nail Art

If you have an Instagram account, you've definitely seen this trend. Nail art pages are literally blowing up - they're becoming as popular as makeup tutorial accounts! Basically, nail art is any cool design.  It can be an intricate floral pattern or a simple, black line down running down the middle. Unfortunately, I'm not talented enough to rock this trend, but if you have the ability, definitely try it out!

Here are tools y'all will need to get perfect nail art:

4. Gel Nails

A few years ago, I'd never even heard of gel nail polish, and now it's EVERYWHERE! Basically, it's a very thick formula that you paint on. It takes a really long time to chip and looks amazing -- the finish is shiny and beautiful. However, it can destroy your nails and is a huge pain to get off. You can either get this at the salon for the full experience - you have to put your hands under a UV light for it to try! Or, you can do your own at home with polishes that claim to give the same effect.

Here are some of the best gel nail polishes out there:

What do you guys think of these trends, any faves? If you try out any of these styles, make sure to snap a pic for Insta and upload it with the hashtag #sensiblestylista!
