Sensible Stylista

The Linen Pencil Skirt

I apologize in advance for today's post - it's short (but hopefully sweet) because my photos kind of came out "meh".  I'll do a better job next time, I promise.  Anywho, let's get down to bidness! Imma start by telling you guys all about my new necklace courtesy of Mad Jewels.  My chelsea horn necklace is available HERE for $58.  It's 30" long, and the horn's 2'.  It's pricey, but the quality's on point!

Let me tell you a bit about the designer behind MJ.  Madison Patrylick started creating baubles at the young age of 8 - she inherited her love for jewelry from her mother.  She's self-taught (crazy impressive, right?) BTW.   Shop Mad Jewels' fab collection today - they offer affordable baubles made of high quality materials such as natural and semi-precious stones.  On top of it all, MJ donates a portion of proceeds to non-rofit organizations such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Operation Kindness, and The Trevor Project.
A closer look at today's work-friendly OOTD! What do you guys think of my new blouse courtesy of ZNU? I think it's super cute - the lace embroidery is very pretty IMO!

A Modern Take on the Classic Two-Piece

Alright guys, I'm super excited to show y'all my take on the classic two-piece.  I only have one photo for today though.  The lighting was "eh" - this was the only good pic I could salvage. Apologies! For the record, I was wearing ivory pumps,

Anywho, I'm sportin' H&M from head to toe.  I bought everything together, but I had no intention of styling it all as one ensemble. It just kind of worked out.  For my LOTD, I stuck with a simple color scheme: navy + ivory.  The shirt really ties the whole look together.  I kept things simple on the accessory front just because.  I jacked my mom's LV because it matched my outfit SO well.

What do you guys think of matching skirts & blazers - antiquated or timeless?
Blazer: H&M ($34.95 - also available in other colors)
Skirt: H&M ($29.95 - available here in yellow)
Top: H&M
Bag: Louis Vuitton - borrowed

Style Check-In

I'm very excited to tell you guys all about Style Check-in today on SS!  Their service is SUPER fun - let me break it down for y'all:

1.  Reserve your seat - sign up online - limited sizing ATM (2-8).
2.  Disclose passenger details - build a profile!  Submit your info, ie. height, likes, style preferences, etc. so they can send you fab pieces you'll love.
3.  In-flight - you get to chillax while fashion attendants prepare your "carry-on luggage" aka style selections.
4.  Luggage Claim - your box arrives - enjoy your first class swag.

Such a cute concept, right? I love the way they went about it all.  My box had four fab pieces (all for $79, including shipping): a pink tunic, a chic two-piece (wearing below), and a stunning bow skirt!  I wasn't crazy about the tunic TBH, but I loved everything else they sent me!

I find two-piece ensembles super chic, and I'm actually really diggin' the boxy silhouette.  What do you guys think of the design - yah or nah?
Obligatory wannabe model shot!  I wore this sophisticated number out for a family dinner at a golf resort.  My parents and I like to visit different courses for funsies.  I've been trying to take up the sport - my dad absolutely LOVES it - but I find it boring, haha.  Maybe I'll like it more in the future...when I'm actually good at it!  Do any of you guys play?
A closer look at my new earrings courtesy of Dainty & Bold.  These elegant earrings are crafted with high quality cubic zirconias and faux pearls.  Available here for $30.90; they look WAY more expensive than they actually are.  A girl can never go wrong with pearls - timeless and always classy!
